Since I have moved to LA I have still not gotten a hair cut out here. I still go back to Vegas to get my hair cut by my barber. His name is Carl and he is the man at Master Piece 1. I met him when I was 14 in high school, I was on phase for The Kappa League (a high school fraternity organization), and he gave me a candy cane and told me to give it to a chick with more cushioning than average and kiss her on the cheek and tell her "Compliments of the Kappa League." So I did it, and since then the cushy girls favor me. lol.
Back on the subject, he's been cutting my hair since 11th grade. And as long as he's still cutting, that's where I will be going. Shit he's going to even cut my sons hair (whenever that happens).
The barbershop is the base for many men, and the place where all the news goes through. When I go to the shop it feels like the black mans Cheers (where everybody knows your name). But it can take time to actually get that, which probably explains why I'm so reluctant to go anywhere else. So if you are ever in Vegas and need a cut go through Master Piece at 1200 Lake Mead and fux with Carl. They even have a dope phone # 702-456-CUTS. Tell em Quik sent you (that's what they call me at the shop). And if he says he has 2 heads it really means 3 heads and a hair line. That's why I bring my Macbook.

So yesterday I got up and went downtown with the masses of people to the Lakers Parade. And I haven't seen that much purple and gold in my life. So those of you who know anything about LA traffic know that it was on HGH the closer you got towards downtown. So that led me to take my 1st trip on the Metro, which isn't that bad. I haven't heard of any rubber bullets being blasted or tear gas, so I'd call it a great event. Even though when I got to the Staples Center I seen the semi roll by. Oh well I was just there to people watch anyway.

Disney Is Expensive When You're Grown!

The other day I went to "The Happiest Place On Earth!", yep Disneyland. And I have to say that if getting your feet ran over by strollers and bumped in the back by people rushing to get one spot in front of you a line that can be up to an hour and a half long. Then Disneyland is the spot! Based on my current income, I probably won't be going back, unless I have the hook up on admission. But other than that I had a blast! I actually got on some rides without waiting the whole time. I found out that the Fast Pass is like VIP of Disneyland. You come early and they basically give you a time window to come back and it's hella faster than the regular folks line. I be damn if I wait that long.

This little short ball of energy, that can demolish any meal you put in front of him, is my sisters dog (that I trained). His name is Buddie aka Kell's ( yes like R. He makes a aight day better because he always acts like he hasn't seen you in weeks, when it might only be hours. He also thinks he the toughest dog on the block too. He needs some socialization training with other dogs. In short he's crazy, no pun intended. Unfortunately my Moms got Buddie's nards chopped off because Dotson's have long backs and when they get busy they can throw their backs out and will need surgery = / But it doesn't mean he won't try tho! Old Ish/ Spring Cleaning

So the recent move for me has forced me to drastically skim down the amount of stuff that I have acquired of the last x amount of years. I was using the rule if I haven't touched it in the last year and a half then it won't make the move. So I just pulled out my camera and took photos of it and got rid of it. So this is a couple flicks of stuff that I had to get rid of, but all of it has a story behind it.

Scores was this strip club that I spent the 07-08 Monday Night Football season in because they had FREE food (chicken wings, nachos, sub sandwiches, burgers), 2 for 1 drinks, and 1/2 price dances! I was there for the food and drink though (I don't pay for dances, you can watch someone else get one and you see the same thing, and YOU KEEP YOUR MONEY! Do Your Math!). Unfortunately they closed down, but it was great while it lasted.

This is the note I got on my apartment door a couple years back, telling me that I had 30 days to get out for No Cause! One of the most bullsh!t events that happened in my life. So for the record FU< K Edna Weiss! If you need someone to prank call click here!

So in the past I would watch the NBA draft and occasionally I would see a player go from high school directly to the pros, for example:

But soon after LeBron got drafted the NBA made it mandatory that players be 19 to be able to play in the NBA. They said it was to see players play after high school. But lets take a look and see what other sports have young people playing...

Matteo Manassero turned pro and played in the Masters at 16! Yet know one said or thought anything about that.

Agnes Szavay also turned pro when she was 16, no problem with that either though.

But when 18 year old Brandon Jennings wanted to take his talents to the NBA he wasn't able to because of the Age Rule. So he went and played in Italy for a year rather then go to college, because the funds that he would make from hooping would probably greatly assist him and his family. 18 you are good to go to war and shoot and kill people for a cause that you might not be to sure of. But 19 to shoot and ball and make a killing? Doesn't make sense to me either.

Now I can't help but think that there is another reason for this rule. It just so happens to be a lot of young black men are the ones trying to go pro. Does the NBA realize that these players are at risk for injury everyday they play. And if they get injured, there goes their opportunity to make a nice chunk of change. To me it just doesn't add up. Take a look at the list of players that have took the jump to the League. You do the math.

This is my cousin Jus. He always is hitting me up telling me to get him some tees to move because people are always wanting to buy the shirt off his back. But he won't let them go becuase he doesn't know when he is going to see me again, since i'm everywhere with it.

A couple months ago one of his homeboys named Danny Santos passed away in a fatal car accident that his mother was in also. So he designed a tee to show respect to his friend. Danny was the precussionist in the school band and just an all around pretty cool kid from what I hear. This is just another reminder that life is so fragile and tomorrow is not promised. So live it to the fullest!

I know we all have a part of work that we don't really look foward to doing. Well in my case it's cleaning screens. Cleaning screens requires what I feel I don't have much of...Elbow Grease. Ugh!

1st is getting all the ink off of the screens.

Next I go to the local car wash and scrub the emulsion out. Then I use the high pressure hose to blow the screen clean.

After that, I have to repeat the process and put emulsion back on the screen. Which is basically another blank canvas for me to get back to the fun part, printing shirts!

The Magic Summary

Aight so, this last week seemed to go by faster than a Bruce Lee snap kick! So I'm just going to give you the summarized version of what went down. This last week was the Magic Convention in my home town Las Vegas, NV. I have NEVER entered Magic legally in my life. I have used photoshoped badges, I've used diversion, I've went in through the exit and have even used the homies badge before. But for some reason I wanted to try to Mentos my way in this year. So Eddie Hundreds and I armed with cameras and business cards tried the media route. Long story short, the reviewing lady had pity for me because my Twitter is attached to the blog and I basically told on myself! But she thought it was funny and shot me a badge.

So this year at Magic seemed to be the resession edition. Meaning a majority of the booths were scaled down, and attendance was not as high as other years. But never the less I seen some dope ish. The main reason that I go is to get inspiration.

Here's the true history about Valentine's Day and how it was twisted into what it is today...

Telling a number of vendors that were selling Who Dat shirts that it was thier slogan and if they kept printing shirts they would take legal action. I personally think that the NBA is a way for a lot of young minorities to parlay their skills into funds, and to take care of their families. Some years ago I had the chance to talk to a former White Supremist. I learned some suprising information from him that day, but one of the things that he told me that stuck out the most was about Marlboro cigarettes. Aside from being the #1 killer of people in the U.S. these little sticks of slow death scream WHITE SUPREMACY! So let me break down what he told me for you real fast. First let's look at the colors of the box itself... White, Red and Gold. Those just happen to be the main colors of the Ku Klux Klan.

Next he showed me that there are 3 K's on the box! I was baffled to where to find them. But if you take the red designs and turn them on their side, they make 3 K's. The two sides of the box and then the bottom is the final K.

So let's just say that's a cowinky dink. Let's look closer...

Those horses that are on the box are the same horses that were used when the Klans men would terrorize people and then use the same horses in the KKK parades. But let's just say all that info is subjective...

Last but not least... look between the legs of the horses. Look at the negative space between their legs. There are two Klans men holding a banner! Just like they did in the front of their parades! Let me draw it up like John Madden for you!
